ORANGE CANDLE! So clever!

Just take an orange/lemon/grapefruit, cut in half, eat the middle portion, leave the center core-like stem intact. Pour a kitchen oil (veg oil, olive oil, etc) into orange just below the top of the stem. Light stem. It will burn for hours and smell amazing.

Bullying

October is Bullying Awareness Month

There are four major types of Bullying: Cyber, Emotional, Social, and Physical.

Cyber bullying is when someone spreads hurtful messages and images using email, instant messaging, internet chat-rooms, cameras on the cell phone and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).

Emotional bullying is when someone uses harmful remarks to tease a person about the way he or she dresses and items the individual possess.

Social bullying is when someone is gossiping, starting rumors, excluding individuals from a group, playing mean tricks and insulting an individual’s race or religion.

Physical bullying is when someone is doing physical harm to a person’s body or property.

Bullying can take place in different environments: home, school, and work

.

Nine Natural Ways to Keep

Spiders out of Your House

Ever walk into a room with some purpose in mind, only to completely forget what that purpose was?

Turns out, doors themselves are to blame for these strange memory lapses.

Psychologists at the University of Notre Dame have discovered that passing through a doorway triggers what’s known as an event boundary in the mind, separating one set of thoughts and memories from the next. Your brain files away the thoughts you had in the previous room and prepares a blank slate for the new locale.

Thank goodness for studies like this. It’s not our age, it’s the door!

I knew it couldn’t be my fault.
