National Night Out

Clayton Nextdoor.com

National Night Out is a community-police awareness-raising event in the United States. Texas has opted to use the date of the first Tuesday in October to avoid hot weather. Texas will be celebrating National Night Out this year on Tuesday, October  7th.

This is an opportunity to get to know your neighbors better.  Banning together as neighbors will  make our subdivision a safer place to live.

Another way that Clayton Residents are banning together is on Clayton NextDoor.com which is a private online network for Clayton Residents only.  Currently, there are over 80 Clayton Residents that are members. We share crime/safety concerns, ideas about how to make our neighborhood better, and more. We are also able to connect with over 320 residents in neighboring subdivisions.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office & Homeland Security have partnered with Nextdoor.com and post alerts relating to our area.

Nextdoor.com is free to join. For more information visit http://claytonhoa.com/?page_id=1115

How do you get a free credit report?

You can request one free credit report every 12 months from each of the three major consumer credit-reporting agencies: Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. But you don’t have to get all three reports at once. Obtaining one report at time, like quarterly, can help you monitor changes and is a good way to find out if you’ve become a victim of identity theft.

Mysteries of the Unseen World

We live in a world of un-seeable beauty, so subtle and delicate that it is imperceptible to the human eye. To bring this invisible world to light, filmmaker Louie Schwartzberg bends the boundaries of time and space with high-speed cameras, time lapses and microscopes.
